Dogmatics in outline was the first book by Barth I read. (And mine though old has a better picture.)I was impressed and continue to use it. For another small, but good book by Barth try, "The Faith of the Church: a Commentary on the Apostles Creed according to Calvin's Catechism." That way you get both Barth and Calvin.
