John Hendryx obviously travelled many roads before making the correct choice to follow the Christ as the Holy Spirit moved in his life. Although I disagree with the pilgrimage of Calvinism, etc. that he has chosen, we do agree that we are saved by grace through faith...Jesus alone is Lord.BobWillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06195193630308781838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17617194.post-69926206856513331722009-08-10T18:56:50.246+01:002009-08-10T18:56:50.246+01:00Thanks for an insightful interview. Their selection of books is in another stratosphere! It's great to know that when I need a book with theological meat and won't break my bank, I can go to Monergism Books. By the way, keep up the fantastic interviews and posts!Erikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09949185941710208679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17617194.post-18541396751020054722008-10-24T00:25:00.000+01:002008-10-24T00:25:00.000+01:00Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone. As John put it "a clearing house for good theology" and he's right!

I love the doctrines of Grace simply because it exalts God and I cannot stomach anything less.

John, God bless you brother, thanks for a great site.Go Share Your Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10494251154976285819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17617194.post-74409128815177311282008-10-21T11:34:00.000+01:002008-10-21T11:34:00.000+01:00Guy,Another fascinating interview.I very much like...Guy,

Another fascinating interview.

I very much like the emphasis on the sovereignty of Christ in salvation and the desire to place the central focus on Him. I like the comment at the end about the doctrine of regeneration.

I myself was once a premillenarian, and held these views, I believe, with a good conscience.

It took me a long time and a lot of intense thinking about scripture to come to an ammillenial position. This was about 10 years ago.

I can understand why people do hold to premillenial views, but I can no longer myself consider such a doctrine to have intellectual credibility, although many good, intelligent, and sincere Christians hold to that view.

Thanks again.

David.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
