  4. Paul,

I haven't got several versions of the pieces a listed, so I'd just be giving you the recordings I have in my collection. I suppose I could update the post to include conductor/soloist/record label. I'll try to do that later.

  6. Jim,

I do like Mozart. I'm not so familiar with the other two you mentioned. I could have given Mehndelsson & Handel a mention too as well as Vaughn Williams & Schubert. But that would men exceeding the "Top 10" format.

  7. No Baroque. Interesting.

  8. I was thinking of doing such a list the other week when callic Fm produced a list but classcial music is too large a category I fear. Eg This is all orchestral pieces isn't it. What about piano, etc. No Mozart or Bach is odd too.

  9. I like my classical music to be big and powerful, which is why I'm more drawn to Romantics than Classics. Mozart would make my top 20, as would Bach and some of Schubert's chamber music. But it's my list. I'm not trying to be objective and these are my 10 favourite pieces right now. If you don't like it, do your own lists! ;-)
