'...ambition makes you look pretty ugly...'

I knew you'd like that stuff.

I can't think why I didn't get into Radiohead before now. Perhaps I needed to mature enough to enjoy them properly?

Never heard of any of them. Perhaps I'd recognise it if I heard it. Then again, probably not. I find, the less I listen to pop music, the less I like it, need it or want it.

J, you are, of course entitled to your opinion. But you must have heard of U2! What if any "pop" bands do you like?

Let me clarify - of course I have heard of all the bands, but the individual tracks you are referring to I have never heard of.

Seriously, I listen to very little music indeed, and my tastes are very broad. I don't really 'follow' one band or another.

Largely I prefer classical music or 60s70s80s stuff. But it is a tiny tiny part of my life.

Oh, so its the songs that you've never heard of. And I was beginning to think that you were a real pop Philistine. You seem to be a bit coy about the stuff you like. My guess is Phil Collins & Abba. Am I right?

Glad to see Paranoid Android at number one. It's one of my all time favorites as well.

By the way, I would hardly call Radiohead pop. I've heard them called many things, but pop is certainly never one of them. They're incredible live by the way.

Alex,

I'm really getting into Radiohead these days. Bends & Kid A are on the way from Amazon, who seem to be on a go slow at the moment.

Pop was Jonathan's word not mine. Radiohead are hardly S Club 7.
